Trauma has a way of staying with you long after the moment has passed. It can show up in your body, your relationships, your sleep, and the way you move through the world. If you have ever felt stuck in survival mode, hypervigilant, disconnected, or like a part of you has never quite felt safe, you are not alone, and you are not broken.
PTSD can develop after a single traumatic event, such as an accident, assault, natural disaster, or loss. Complex PTSD (CPTSD) often develops from prolonged or repeated trauma, childhood abuse or neglect, domestic violence, systemic racism, or growing up in an environment that never felt safe. Both are real, deserve attention, and are treatable.
How It Can Show Up
Flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive memories.
Feeling on edge, hypervigilant, or easily startled.
Emotional numbness or disconnection from yourself and others.
Avoiding people, places, or situations that trigger memories.
Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe in relationships.
Shame, guilt, or a deep sense that something is wrong with you.
How I Can Help
Healing from trauma is not about reliving what happened. It is about reclaiming your life from it. I use a trauma-informed, body-aware approach that meets you exactly where you are. Our work together may include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to identify and shift thought patterns rooted in trauma.
Art Therapy, because sometimes the body and the creative mind can access what words alone cannot. Through image-making, collage, and other creative modalities, we can process trauma in a way that feels safe and empowering.
Somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, helping your nervous system learn that it is safe to rest.
Whether your trauma happened once or over a lifetime, I am here to walk alongside you at a pace that feels right for you in a space that is warm, affirming, and completely judgment-free.
You’ve made it through so much already. Let’s focus on helping you live more fully now.
